*waves* Hi, all! I've got a fun post for you today! Another "according to pinterest" post . . . only this time, it's Christmas!
Guys, I just relaized this was true. And it's hilarious! |
About the time Thanksgiving is over, we put this CD on. Because it's Bing Crosby. 'Nough said. ;) |
*nods* this is me. Pretty much every time people ask me what I want for Christmas. |
Except I think there's a third one. And that one fits somewhere in between. They love the feeling if shopping, and all the scents of the stories and the sights of the mall, but not all the stress and people interaction that comes with it. *nods* This would be me. |
And then there's my dad. While mom and I start shopping the weekend after Thanksgiving, my dad waits till Christmas eve. Literally. He told us that he'd go shopping on Saturday. xD And somehow he comes up with the best gifts! It's crazy. |
And there's all the fun of vintage-y Christmases gone past! |
And I couldn't resist posting this. (Hey, it rhymes! ;P) After all the stress and everything of the election year, it's good to laugh about something. Though Jesus is the reason Christmas is great, no matter who won the election. xD
And . . .
Alternate prayer for my family: "Dear Lord, please don't let my siblings be here when they arrive. They'll open them and see their gifts." xD |
*nods* Starbucks and peppermint mochas are an integral part of Christmas. Especially Christmas shopping. |
And then there are all the Christmas funnies . . .
Pretty sure this is what my mom would love... ;) |
No offense to all the guys who read my blog. I know many men who are truly wise and who I'm blessed to have in my life. But I couldn't help but post the picture. xD (Or should I say I could help it, but I didn't want to. ;)) |
Yet, when we take a moment to look past all the busyness of Christmas, we see what it truly is about. Not Santa Clause, or all the funny, relatable posts. No, it's about a baby born in manger. And He's the true reason for the season.
And after Jesus, comes family. Because they are more important then any gifts that we buy to give to one another.
In the business and craziness of Christmas, be the light to those around you. The whole world may put on a show of cheer and festivities, but they're missing the Light of the World. So shine forth His light in this busy season. And remember,
Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas!
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
