The Meaningful Song Lyrics Tag

Hi everyone! I'm back with a tag! (What else? ;))
So, Natasha did this over on her blog, and she tagged anyone who wanted to do it. It looked like a lot of fun, so I decided to do it! I mean, who doesn't love song lyrics?!
Here are the rules...

Find some lyrics you think are really meaningful and type them into a nice background Be sure to name the song and the writer!
Than post it on your blog and tag as many people as you want.

Here are my Meaningful Lyrics ...

Jesus calls us not to just sit idly by and live a leisurely life. He calls us to be on the front lines for the gospel. We are our lives in a way that glorifies Him and points others to the cross. The battle is real, and we can not shirk our duty by ignoring everything around us. The entire world is a mission field (or, as in this song, a battlefield) for the gospel.

This is one of my vary favorites. Looking at the storm around us, it can appear at times that God has forgotten, or that He doesn't care about the small details of our life. But when we look to the cross, we see that He not only cares, He loves us so much that He died to save us. He loves us that much! If he died for us, surely we can trust Him with our lives. He is there holding us through it all!

I think the lyrics pretty much speak for themselves. This song, this verse, in particular, always brings tears to my eyes. This is the hope of an eternal promise that we have in Jesus! Forever with Him, safe and free from all the toils of this life. Oh, what a glorious day that will be to be together with our Lord!

Then post it on your blog and tag however many
When we come to the end of ourselves, when there is nothing left that we can do, that's when Jesus says His grace is sufficient. He is our strength, and with Him, anything is possible! He can take our lives and mold them into His image. And with Him, we are made into more than we could ever be on our own! Because with God, all things are possible!

And ... that's all for this tag! I hope you guys enjoyed reading it, and I'm sorry if I came across as if I was giving a sermon with a few of them. I, uhh, tend to get carried away when I talk about things that mean a lot to me. And these lyrics have each encouraged me during a difficult time in my life, so they mean a lot.

And for the people I tag...

I think I like the Casting Crowns one you did the most. And I didn't think you got carried away with what you wrote below each one. ;)

    1. I had a lot of fun! Thanks for coming up with it!! :D
Yes, the casting crowns song is sooo good!
Oh, good! I'm glad it didn't seem like I wrote too much. :)

      Thanks for commenting!!

  2. I like them all, but especially the Casting Crowns one.

    1. Yeah, Casting Crowns is really good!!!
      Thanks for commenting!!

  3. *should be doing geometry but would rather comment on Jesseca's lovely post*

What a wonderful tag!! :D I'm totally doing this. Thanks for tagging me! :) (Do you mind if I do it on Chosen Vessels instead though?)
I love that first one! Seems like I've read that somewhere too... B-)
Just Be Held -- YES. YES. YES. I absolutely LOVE that line. God's unfailing love never gets old. :)
Why is it that your third selection makes me want to cry?!? :'(

All the lyrics you chose are soooo good! :) I just love song lyrics...and my post may very easily turn into a book. ;)

    1. *totally agrees with you ;)*

You're welcome! I thought you might enjoy it! And that;s totally fine! You can do it on either blog! :)
Yeah ... the songs that mean the most to me tend to get repeated in my *cough* stories.
Just be held will always be at the top of my list of favorites!! It's message is timeless!
Not sure. :( It has the same effect on me!!!!

Yes, do a long post! I be sure and leave a loonggg comment. B-)

      Thanks for commenting!

  4. This was a brilliant idea for a tag! You had some excellent lyric choices! Also, I think sometimes it is easy to turn your focus on the music and/or the vocalists of the song and forget about the words sometimes. Sometimes after months of singing a particular song, I pause and read the lyrics--like really read the lyrics--and realize the power that those lyrics hold.
Stand Up for Jesus is a great one. I love singing that one in church, especially when our assistant pastor plays along on his trumpet :D

    1. Wasn't it?! I never would have thought of it, so I'm really glad Natasha did! :D
Yes, the lyrics are so powerful! And I think added music to them can make them even more powerful, but like you said, it can be too easy to focus simply on the music. :)
Oh, that would be the perfect song to have a trumpet play!! It must sound beautiful!

      Thanks for commenting! :)

  5. This looks like so much fun! Thanks for tagging me, Jesseca! :D

You Raise Me Up is one of my favourite songs! Not just because of the music, but also the words - they're so beautiful! :)

  6. Thanks for tagging me, Jesseca! I plan to do it later this week. :)

  7. Just Be Held is SUCH a beautiful song!! It makes me cry when I hear it. :)

    I love this tag!
